Tigers pull off comeback, defeat Winterhawks 4-2
MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Tigers defeated one of top ranked teams in Canada on home ice Tuesday night.
Hosting the Portland Winterhawks, who were ranked fourth in the country according to the most recent Canadian Hockey League rankings, the Tigers came back in the third period, scoring three unanswered goals to top the Winterhawks 4-2 at the Canalta Centre.
Brett Kemp got the comeback started by scoring on the power-play eight minutes into the third period. Four seconds later, Daniel Baker scored his first goal of the season to give the Tigers the lead. Trevor Longo added the final goal for the Tigers in the third period.
