The tournament, presented by ATB Financial, will run from April 2-5 at the Kinplex.
The HJHL says the Blackfalds Wranglers were originally set to host provincials, however the team moved to Sylvan Lake in the off-season. The league reopened the bidding, with five teams, including the Cubs submitting bids.
The team will provide additional information during a press conference tonight at 7 p.m. at the HomeStay Inn and Suites.
The Cubs kick off the regular season on Friday, travelling to Airdrie to take on the Thunder. The game begins at 8 p.m.
