Two vehicle crash leaves one driver dead, another with life-threatening injuries

Grande Prairie – Grande Prairie RCMP say a woman from Lethbridge is dead and man from Grande Prairie has been hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 40.

Police say at around 1:00 a.m. Saturday, a northbound pickup collided with a southbound semi.

The 42-year-old woman driving the pickup was killed. The 32-year-old man from Grande Prairie was taken to the QE II by STARS with what Mounties describe as life-threatening injuries.

The RCMP add all possible causes are being looked at and the investigation continues.
