Harvest slowed by rain in S.W. Saskatchewan

Producers working between showers to bring in crop in Southwest Saskatchewan

Sep 6, 2019 | 7:53 AM

REGINA, SK —Producers in southwest Saskatchewan continue to harvest between showers but they are still behind the 5 year average.

20 per cent of the crop in the southwest has been combined; the 5 year average is 43 per cent for this time of year.

Producers need a good stretch of warm dry weather to continue the harvest.

Most crop damage this past week was due to hail and strong winds.
