Medicine Hat, AB – City fire crews worked quickly to douse a blaze at 471 21st Street N.E. Sunday morning after getting the call just before 10 a.m.
Neighbours said they saw smoke billowing from the windows of the home prior to police and then firefighters arrive at the scene.
An individual was taken into an ambulance at the scene and appeared to not have sustained major injuries.
The home, a duplex, did not show any major fire damage on the exterior, though, singed curtains and siding could be seen from the outside of the home.
