MEDICINE HAT, AB — There was a mystery today in our area, and it remains unsolved.

Several live chickens and roosters have been popping up in Medicine Hat and Redcliff, with several residents posting photos and videos on social media of their encounters with the animal.

Some of the chickens were found in backyards, one in Crescent Heights and some in Redcliff.

“This morning, when I woke up, I heard it making it’s rooster call, and I figured it was in somebody’s yard or some, somebody was trying to raise hens, so I looked out my window, and there it was standing in the backyard,” said Bradi Jubelius, one of the residents who spotted a rooster in her yard.

Jubelius says the rooster has since been given to a farm.

Anyone with information about the chickens and how they got here are asked to comment on the CHAT TV Facebook page.
