Watson into finals at Pan Am Games

LIMA, PERU — Sage Watson is into the finals of the 400 metre hurdles at the Pan Am Games.

Watson punched her ticket to the finals Tuesday afternoon at Athletics Stadium in Lima, Peru. The Seven Persons native finished in second place in the women’s 400 metre semifinals, with a time of 56.37 seconds.

Puerto Rico’s Grace Claxton finished in first place with a time of 56.30 seconds. Jamaica’s Ronda White also qualified for the finals, finishing in third place with a time of 56.47 seconds.

The women’s 400 metre hurdle final goes Thursday at 4:55 p.m. MST.
