CLEMSON, SC – Recruitment 100 percent closed.

That was the Tweet that Ajou Ajou send out on social media on Saturday, set to begin the next stage of his football career with one of the NCAA’s powerhouse programs.

The Brooks football phenom chose the Clemson Tigers as his college landing space, becoming one of the school’s most highly touted prospects.

Growing up in Brooks and attending Brooks Junior High School, the wide receiver chose to move to Edmonton to play for one of Alberta’s top-ranked football programs in the Harry Ainlay Titans.

Ajou was a three-sport athlete with the Titans winning provincial titles in football, basketball, and track and field before transferring to Clearwater Academy International in Florida.

In a statement on Twitter, Ajou thanked his support system and coaches that brought him to this point.

“I would like to thank my mother for being my backbone and supporting me in everything I do,” said Ajou. “I would like to thank my family and friends for always standing by my side. I would like to thank all my coaches from Brooks, Alberta, to Edmonton, Alberta, to Clearwater, Florida. Thank you for pushing me to always do my best.”

“My journey hasn’t always been the easiest but I will be continuing my grind at Clemson University.”

One of the highest touted Canadians to commit to NCAA schools this summer, Ajou had previously received offers from other perennial contenders such as Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Florida, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Miami, and Florida State just to name a few.

Clemson has cemented itself as one of college football’s powerhouses over the last few years, winning two of the last three national championships.
