MEDICINE HAT, AB – After a week of searching, Medicine Hat Police have arrested a man they believe to be involved with a stolen vehicle case earlier this month.

Police say they located and arrested 36-year-old Jason Higdon on Saturday night, eight days after they put out a request for information from the public about his whereabouts.

It’s alleged that Higdon stole a Ford F-350 on July 16 and by police attempted to stop him at approximately 9:45 pm, before the suspect took off.

Police did not pursue the truck due to public safety concerns, while officers add the vehicle was driving recklessly through the city at the time.

Higdon is facing numerous charges including flight from a peace officer, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and possession of stolen property over $5,000.
