Mavericks down Prospects to begin road trip

EDMONTON, AB – The Medicine Hat Mavericks began their six game road trip on a winning note Tuesday evening.
The Mavericks exploded to an early 8-0 lead, eventually defeating the Edmonton Prospects 14-3 at Remax Field.
Colin Klingensmith, had three runs, four hits and three RBI through the game for the Mavericks, while Cameron Pope had three runs, three hits and one RBI. Nolan Rattai also finished the game with two runs, four hits and two RBI.
Mavericks pitcher Junior Pimental did not allow a single run in six innings of pitching. He only allowed three hits, while striking out 10 batters.
