MEDICINE HAT, AB — Every Rattler at Medicine Hat College has a unique story.

Nicole Schultz of the women’s golf team is no exception.

The third-year nursing student has a deep passion for traveling and a desire to help those in need. More specifically, taking care of those in third-world countries.

This past summer, the 21-year-old travelled to Peru for two weeks, job shadowing local nurses and doctors — an experience she calls extremely rewarding and eye-opening. This after spending four months in Thailand teaching English.

CHAT Sports caught up with the veteran golfer to hear more about her life away from the golf course, and how she’s able to juggle the challenges of being a student-athlete.
