Cubs lose fourth straight in Airdrie, fall 3-1 to Thunder
AIRDRIE, AB – The Medicine Hat Travelodge Cubs had no answers for Andrew McLennan and the Airdrie Thunder on Friday night, losing their fourth straight contest 3-1.
Coming into Friday’s contest in Airdire, the Cubs had lost five of their last six contests and were looking to right the ship against the North Division’s top team.
Medicine Hat dominated with 24 shots in the first period alone, but it was a scoreless game after 20 minutes of play.
It stayed 0-0 until the midway mark of the second, when Airdrie veteran McLennan scored in his first game of the season to give the Thunder a 1-0 lead.
