Medicine Hat residents are concerned over changes to age restrictions in condo buildings.
MEDICINE HAT, AB. – MLA Bob Wanner met with 50 concerned Medicine Hat residents on Monday, October 16th for a question and answer session regarding the Alberta Human Rights Act amendments to age restricted condo buildings.
“We are responding to a number of letters that I received from Medicine Hat constituents asking for clarification on the manner of a recent court direction to the province of Alberta and the Human Rights code and age eligibility,” he said.
Primarily seniors were concerned about the restricted condo age changes as many residents of Medicine Hat live in 50 plus or 55 plus buildings. Including Len Harty, he says he selected his 50 plus building to better suit his lifestyle.
