Bayer expands Canadian recall of RestoraLAX products
OTTAWA — Bayer Inc. Has expanded a recall of laxative products across Canada due to a choking hazard.
Health Canada announced Monday the company is expanding its voluntary recall to include RestoraLAX 30+7 Bonus Packs, which are sold at stores across Canada. The company announced a recall last Monday of the 45+10 value pack, which was sold at Costco Canada.
The product is being recalled because it may contain clumps or lumps as deposits, which could present a choking hazard. The product is sold as a combination pack of one bottle of 30 doses of the powder, shrink wrapped with a bottle of seven doses of powder.
Canadians are advised to stop using the product, and seek immediate medical attention if they experience difficulty swallowing or breathing after taking the product.
