LETHBRIDGE — Five Lethbridge residents have been charged under the province’s Drug Endangered Children’s Act after more than $100,000 worth of drugs and cash were seized from two homes.
On May 5, members of the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT), along with Lethbridge police, executed four search warrants on vehicles and homes in West Lethbridge.
ALERT seized more than 100 grams of cocaine, 993 grams of a cocaine cutting agent and $77,000 cash proceeds of crime. Two vehicles and a bicycle were also seized.
Police found young children living in both homes while the search warrants were being executed. Child and Family Services are providing assistance with the investigation.
