Rose Bowl concert tonight at Medicine Hat College

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The 63rd annual Rotary Music Festival has been ongoing at Medicine Hat College for the past two weeks, and the organization will celebrate the talent present at the festival tonight.

The annual Rose Bowl performance gets underway at the Medicine Hat College theatre at 7 p.m. The performance features nine performances from different categories at the festival that were considered top performers by the adjudicators.

Admission to the event is by donation.

The following performances will take place tonight.

-Choral: Medicine Hat College Girls Choir

-Vocal: Samantha Scott

-Speech: Roan Foshaug

– Musical Theatre: Jessica Schnell

-Violin/Viola: Soren Lorentzen

-Chamber/Ensemble:  Laec and Soren Lorentzen

– Cello: Laec Lorentzen

-Brass/Woodwinds: Conall O’Brien

-Piano: Rebecca Feere

The winning performer will receive the Rose Bowl trophy and a scholarship from the Medicine Hat rotary Club on Sunday during the Stars of the Festival performance.

The Stars of the Festival concert runs Sunday at 7 p.m., and features performers receiving their awards and more performances. The event also takes place in the College Theatre.
