Midget AA Hounds shutout Blackhawks over weekend

MEDICINE HAT, AB — A strong performance from their goaltender helped the Can Pak Environmental Midget AA Hounds earn a victory this weekend.

Goaltender Aiden Kruger made 25 saves as the Hounds topped the CBHA Blackhawks 3-0 at the Kinplex.

Ryley Manz led the Hounds in scoring during the game, notching two goals in the second period. Dax Wandler started the scoring for the Hounds in the first period.

Jacob Milne, Carson dingwall, austin Klimosko and Brandon Hauck all notched assists for the Hounds through the game.

The win improves the Hounds’ record to 6-6 on the season, enough for fourth place in the South Conference.

The Hounds are back in action this weekend for a pair of games on the road. The team travels to Hussar on Saturday to take on the Wheatland Chiefs at 4:45 p.m., and travels to Vauxhall on Sunday to battle the Taber Golden Suns at 3:30 p.m.
