Okotoks, AB. – Police are searching for a man who allegedly held a knife to the throat of a 16-year-old girl during an apparent break-in attempt at a home south of Calgary.

Stacey Bond, the girl’s mother, says her daughter was letting the dog out the back door of their home in Okotoks Saturday afternoon when she was approached by a man.

She says there was a struggle and the attacker put a knife to her daughter’s throat that caused a cut requiring five stitches.

Bond says her daughter is sore and in shock, but she’s coping.
