Rattlers to host 1st annual combine

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Another ACAC season is just around the corner, and like every year the Medicine Hat College Rattlers are hoping for a few provincial championships to celebrate come next March.

Every year the program seems to raise the bar higher and higher, and that’s no different ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.

On Saturday, the program is hosting it’s first annual fitness combine, which will see all 10 sports teams test their might against each other in a variety of events.

Beginning at 2:30 p.m., athletes will compete in bench press, the 5-10-5 and vertical tests, and the 40-yard dash. The afternoon will wrap up with a massive beep test for all competitors, split up into men’s and women’s groups.

Wrapping up the weekend will see the men’s and women’s soccer teams take the pitch on Sunday for the annual Rattlers Alumni game. The ladies match is set for 12:00 p.m. with the men’s game kicking off at 2:00p.m.
