MEDICINE HAT, AB — There’s only three weeks until students return to the classroom, but the Crescent Heights High School Vikings are already packing the football field.

The Vikings officially kick off their training camp on Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 p.m.

Practices will run today, Thursday and Friday, and will pick back up on Sunday.

Several Grade 10 students will try and crack the team’s roster after a slew of seniors graduated from the team last year.

The Vikings play their first exhibition game in Airdrie against George McDougall on Friday August 25.

As for the other football teams in the city, the Medicine Hat high School Mohawks and the Monsignor McCoy High School Colts begin their training camps on the weekend.
