Medicine Hat Brewing Company featured at Calgary Stampede

MEDICINE HAT, AB — A local brewery is set to gain some major exposure at the Calgary Stampede this year.

The Medicine Hat Brewing Company will be one of 23 craft beer makers featured at the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.

Starting today, their beer will be found inside the Big 4 building on the Stampede Grounds. The company will feature its Twin City Lager at the Stampede until July 11.

Warren Van Curen, owner of the Brewing Company, says the Alberta Small Brewers Association deserves most of the credit for the opportunity.

“It’s the Alberta Small Brewers Association that went to bat for everybody and got this pushed through,” he said. “It’s a big milestone.”
