Hatters celebrate Canada Day with tea

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Canada Day came one day early at the Medicine Hat Library as Hatters gathered around Friday to celebrate the red and white flag.

People of all ages were able to enjoy refreshing tea and a Canada 150 birthday cake.

Kris Samraj, head of non-fiction at the library who helped organize the event, said every Canada Day is important to celebrate.

Samraj immigrated to Canada when he was 10 years old and appreciates all the support the country has given him.

“This country has been nothing but good to me and I love it very much.”
