VIDEO: Local reaction to Derek Fildebrandt’s United Liberty announcement

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Wildrose MLA Derek Fildebrandt has announced the creation of the United Liberty group.

The Strathmore-Brooks MLA made the announcement of the group at a rally in Strathmore on Thursday. The goal of the group is to encourage members of the Wildrose and Progressive Conservative parties to vote in favour of a merger next month.

The announcement also fueled speculation Fildebrandt is considering a run for the leader of the United Conservative Party, should members vote in favour of the merger.
