Defending HS baseball champs hope new facility helps them repeat

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Hat High is looking to repeat as champs this upcoming high school baseball season, and they’ve got a new weapon in their arsenal.

The team recently put the finishing touches on a brand new batting cage at the field adjacent to Hat High, which joins a backstop that was built last summer. The evolving baseball facility also includes a bullpen area with two mounds.

In the video below we take a look at the new opportunities afforded to players such as Zachary Stark and Lane Rempel, who both agree the additional reps they’re getting because of the new facilities is helping their development as ball players. Head coach Lyall Foran then says that’s what he hopes the added features allow.

The Mohawks kick off their season next Saturday with a game against Eagle Butte.
