WINNIPEG, MB — The second man wanted in connection with a December 2016 murder has been arrested.

Leonard Beaulieu, 24, wanted for second-degree murder in connection with the death of 24-year-old Jordan Pede, was arrested without incident by Winnipeg Police on Monday.

Pede was found suffering from a gunshot wound in Strathcona Island Park on New Year’s Eve and later died from his injuries.

“At this point we’ve concluded the investigation,” Secondiak said. “The majority of witnesses have been interviewed. We’re not looking for any more suspects in this.”

Luke Boxell, a 21-year-old man from Medicine Hat, was arrested and also charged with second degree murder last month in connection with Pede’s death.

Beaulieu will be transported back to Alberta within the next six days to appear before a provincial judge.

Secondiak said police are not looking for any other suspects in connection with the death.
