Northlands Co-op set to expand

MEDICINE HAT, AB — South Country Co-op has announced a $4.3 million expansion will commence at their Northlands location next week.
The expansion starts Monday with local company GVN Structures Limited as lead contractor. The renovation will see new flooring and ceilings installed, along with energy efficient lighting and refrigeration.
The grocery aisles in the store will also be expanding, and the deli department will see a sushi bar, curry bar and bento box program added. The pharmacy department will be expanded to include several consultation rooms.
The store will remain open during the renovations, which are expected to be completed by the fall.
