Jan 29, 2017 | 6:00 AM

Medicine Hat, AB – Ryan Jevne scored 2 goals including an empty net insurance marker as Medicine Hat downed Brandon 6-4 in front of 3,732 fans Saturday night at the Canalta Centre.

With the two goal win the Tigers avenged their most recent loss that was handed to them by the Wheat Kings Tuesday.

Matt Bradley extended his current point streak to 9 games with a goal and two assists, while Chad Butcher ended up scoring the eventual game winning goal.

In net for the Tabbies was Michael Bullion who turned away 18 shots to pick up his 5th win of the 2016-17 campaign.

Mason Shaw started off the scoring with a goal 2:13 into the opening salvo. Brandon then added two consecutive goals in the second before Medicine Hat responded with three of their own.

But before any goals went up on the jumbotron Schael Higson of the Wheat Kings and Zach Fischer dropped the mitts less than a minute into things.

Brandon used four different scorers in the contest as no skater finished the evening with more than a single point.

Saturday marked the third meeting so far this season between the two sides, who still have one more game to play against each other this year.

With the win Medicine Hat has now won three-in-a-row, and they move 4 points back of Regina for first spot in the Eastern Conference. However the Pats have four games in hand.

The Tigers wrap up their current home stand with a game against the struggling Kootenay Ice Tuesday at 7:00 pm.
