Rattlers soccer teams play first games at home

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Rattlers Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams faced off against the Ambrose University Lions on Saturday.

In the Rattlers 2018 home opener, the women’s team played to a 1-1 draw.

Kaylei Hole kicked things off for the Rattlers scoring at the 17 minute mark but they were unable to hold onto the lead.

The Rattlers thought they scored late for a chance to win late in the game but the goal called back after an offside call.

Israel Honig was named player of the game for Medicine Hat.

The men’s team are currently leading 2-0 after Johnny Keohane scored in the 86th minute.

Albert Woodroffe-Brown had the other marker for Medicine Hat.

Both the men and women will continue play tomorrow at home against the Lethbridge College Kodiaks.

Game time for the women is 12:00 p.m., with the men’s game following at 2:00 p.m.
