Hatchet carrying woman arrested downtown

MEDICINE HAT, AB. – An adult female and a male counterpart are in jail, after they were arrested during a break-in in downtown Medicine Hat.
Police had been looking for the pair, after a call around 5:30 pm to the Tim Horton’s restaurant on Third Street – where a woman with a hatchet was chasing another man.
The pair are facing charges of assault with a weapon and break and enter.
Meanwhile, police say the female driver of a car that hit the River Dental building at River Road and First Street S.E. , suffered non-life threatening injuries. The crash, at around 4:30 – is still being investigated.
