Local State of Emergency to be lifted; power mostly restored to Redcliff
MEDICINE HAT, AB — The State of Local Emergency for the City of Medicine Hat is being lifted this afternoon.
All but 26 customers have had their power restored in Medicine Hat and Redcliff following Tuesday night’s wind storm. The Emergency Operations Centre was stood down starting at 1:30 p.m.
The majority of the power in Redcliff was restored by 2:30 p.m., and Kim Dalton, the town’s director of emergency management, was thankful for the collaboration between the City of Medicine Hat and the town to help get the power back online for the town.
“They worked with their partners in the region, and they brought in support, additional support, and they worked collaboratively to restore the power to the Town of Redcliff,” he said.
