Arnold Woyciehouski

August 3, 1931 ~ January 4, 2019

Arnold Chris Woyciehouski passed away quietly at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Friday, January 4, 2019, at the age of 87 years. He was born in Provost to parents, Clara and Stanly, one of seven children who spent their early years working on the family farm as well as other farms around the area. Arnold went on to varied careers: he worked at a lumber mill for four years, on a team of harvesters for many seasons, on an Alberta Highways building crew, at CFB Suffield, and finally settling at Medalta Pottery and Hycroft China where he worked for 42 years. He was very knowledgeable about the inner workings of the potteries and always loved to go for a visit. Arnold was also an avid sports fan, an enthusiastic follower of the Toronto Blue Jays, and he knew the facts and figures of any sport he watched. He enjoyed playing cards, reading the newspaper, and working on endless puzzle books. In his younger years, Arnold enjoyed fishing and being out in nature. Road trips to British Columbia were a yearly anticipated event. He truly had an adventurous spirit and was genuinely interested in life.
From his Provost family, Arnold is survived by brothers Clarence and Elmer and his sister Lillian. He was blessed to be married twice in his life. Arnold was predeceased by Pearl Noble Bohnet and Rose Marie Stickle, women he always said were wonderful and loved to share in adventures. Arnold is also survived by his step-son Tom Bohnet and his family, as well as the families of Bob Bohnet and Shirley Torrie. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Ella Noble and Alice Stickle, niece Gail Ferris and nephew Glen Stickle along with their families. Rose and Arnold’s special friend Judy helped to make Arnold’s life healthier and happier through his final years.
