1929 ~ William Arnott ~ 2022
It is with a broken heart and endless tears that I announce the passing of my soul mate, best friend, and husband, Bill. He passed peacefully to the other side on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at the age of 92 years. When his pain ended ours started. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Diana; daughter, Coralee Arnott-Langan of Medicine Hat and grandsons, Blake and Max; daughter, Jill Arnott of Regina and grandsons, Lucian and Enzo; daughter, Kerri Arnott-Thirsk (Darren) of Weyburn and grandsons, Levi (Renee), Piper (Kelowna), Lukas (Kayla) and great grandsons, Nixen and Tatum; daughter, Janice (Luke) Duke of Lethbridge and grandson, Jevon (Lisa) and great grand children, Maelle, William, and Cullen, grandson, Mitch (Sarah) and great grandchildren, Hazel, Sunny, and Ivy, grandson, Adam, grandson, Graham (Jenn), great grandchildren, Zyanya and Xayah, granddaughter, Jillian Duke; brother, Lorne (Violet) of Yorkton, brother-in-law, Henry (Lois) Kidney of Saskatoon; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and their children; special friends, Yandy Morejon of Regina and Dr. Ben Durand who was not only our doctor, but also Bill’s “buddy”. Bill was predeceased by his daughter, Lana Lee; his parents, Lillian and Burt; Diana’s parents, Clarence and Betty Kidney; his sister, Verna Bosma; and Diana’s siblings, Jim and Barb.
Bill worked at Sasktel from July 4, 1950 – July 25, 1986. Then with Diana, owned Bardons Gourmet Coffee and Teas in Regina, before moving to Redcliff, Alberta in 1994. His obsession with his lawn was humourous, if there was a dandelion on his lawn at 6:00 a.m. it was gone by 6:01 a.m.!! Bill loved planting flowers and trees. We made numerous trips to Vegas and enjoyed his 90th birthday playing the slots! Cuba was the first time Bill flew and after that enjoyed flying to Vegas. He enjoyed time with his family and friends and always watched curling and loved cheering on the Riders. His most fun times were playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bill and Diana shared a love like no other. Always together, and right till the end Diana was by his side. We shared many happy times and his final words were “I love you”. We had 38 beautiful years together and sadly it ended too soon. Memories of this special man will keep us going until we reunite on the other side.
Bill didn’t want a funeral so we will hold a memorial for all to attend early in the summer. Please think of him with love as he thought of you with love.
Those who wish to remember Bill with a donation, may do so to The War Amps Key Tag Service. To e-mail an expression of sympathy, please direct it to: office@pattisonfuneralhome.com subject heading: William Arnott, or you may visit www.pattisonfuneralhome.com and leave a message of condolence.
