1930 ~ Violet Deibert ~ 2021

Violet Deibert of Medicine Hat passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at the age of 90 years, beloved wife of the late Hilbert Deibert. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Laverne (Wendy) Deibert; two grandchildren, Alicia (Lyle) and Tyrell (Karen) and their son Hudson; one brother, Ben (Madeline) Herter; three sisters-in-law, Leona Herter, Bert Deibert and Noreen Deibert. She was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Edward Herter; her husband Hilbert on October 2, 2001; two brothers, Edwin (Esther) Herter and Lloyd Herter; her sister Edna (Jack) Zollner; four brothers-in-law, Bob Deibert, Roy Deibert, Louis (Elsie) Deibert and Earl Deibert and sister-in-law, Violet (Ed) Kissinger. Violet was the most amazing, caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She truly lived her life for her family. She had many other roles in her life. She was a fantastic homemaker, awesome cook, she ran the family farm mostly by herself for years and she was a great friend to many. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. Her family would like to thank the nurses and care aides at the Wellington for caring for her as much as they did. Also, a HUGE Thank You to the Doctors and Nurses at St Joseph’s Palliative Care who were true angels to her over the last two months. Even though she wanted to go home so badly she kept saying how good they are treating her here. Your care and kindness to her will be remembered forever. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 1:55 p.m. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m with Life Celebrant, David Townsend. You are invited to remotely attend the funeral service by searching for the Pattison Funeral Home youtube page where the video will go live 10 minutes prior to service time. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. Those who wish to remember Violet with a donation, may do so to the Alzheimer Society.
