1942 ~ Vi Krauss ~ 2021
Viless “Vi” Valentine Krauss has begun a new journey and has been reunited with the love of her life, Dennis on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at the age of 79 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Geri (Cam) Gruber and Nicole (Lloyd) Ehmann; four grandchildren, Josh Gruber, Whitney Gruber (Tim Senbanjo), Alexander Ehmann (fianceé Rachel Folk) and Nicholas (Ann) Ehmann and a great grand baby on the way; her sisters in law Eileen Fode and Val (Al) Robichaud and her brother in law Gary (Marie) Krauss; her two best friends in the world, Glenda Leitch and Diane Good as well as her much loved, numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Pauline; her husband Dennis Krauss and her sisters and brother, Bernice Schmidek, Ray Lukey and Doris Potter. Vi was born in Medicine Hat where she met Dennis at the age of 16. They were married on December 19, 1960 and were blessed with two daughters. Their life was full of family and extended family, which meant get-togethers, suppers, camping, fishing, and skiing. One of her greatest joys was her yard where her love of plants and flowers was obvious. The yard was always amazing. On November 17, 1985 after a brief battle with cancer she lost the love her life and after that she, Geri and Nicole became the three musketeers. After she lost Dennis, she discovered a love of golf and travelling with her girlfriends. Throughout her life she worked as an award winning flower designer at the Powerhouse Flowers and Greenhouse, Rosery Florist, Redcliff Greenhouses and Beryl’s Bloomers. Her home always had a bouquet of fresh flowers in it. As an expression of sympathy, please buy yourself some flowers in memory of mom, she would like that. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Monday, March 29, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant, Pat Grisonich. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to remotely attend the funeral service by searching for the Pattison Funeral Home youtube page where the video will go live 10 minutes prior to service time. To e-mail an expression of sympathy, please direct it to: office@pattisonfuneralhome.com subject heading: Vi Krauss, or you may visit www.pattisonfuneralhome.com and leave a message of condolence.
