Ushi Gohring

1949 ~ 2023

Ursel ‘Ushi’ Gohring (more affectionately known as Omi) passed away in Medicine Hat on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at the age of 74 years. She was born in Neumünster, Germany on June 6, 1949. Ushi immigrated to Vancouver, Canada in 1971, where she met her husband, Reinhardt who had also recently immigrated from Germany. They were privileged to have celebrated fifty years of marriage in December 2022. Ushi is survived by her husband, Reinhardt and their two sons, Marvin (Jennifer) and Derek (Lana) as well as her five grandchildren, Tristen, Jesse, Nicole, Ethan and Mikayla as well as her sister, Christel in Germany. She was predeceased by her parents, Heinz and Waltraut Endrigkeit. Ushi loved reading books and doing crossword puzzles. She absolutely loved watching her German TV shows whenever she could.
