Terry Gardner
October 27, 1964 ~ February 24, 2026
Terry Reginald Gardner, beloved husband of Tammy, passed away at his home in Medicine Hat on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at the age of 61 years. Terry was born in New Liskeard, Ontario on October 27, 1964, to his loving parents, Reginald and Hildred. He was a spiritual man who believed in God and carried his faith with quiet strength and gratitude. He lived his life guided by kindness, compassion and an unwavering love for those around him. Humorous, caring, thoughtful and endlessly loving, Terry’s huge heart had a way of making everyone feel welcome and valued. A gifted engineer at heart and by trade, Terry worked in air conditioning and refrigeration, always dreaming, designing and building. He loved nothing more than tinkering in his garage, inventing small projects and bringing ideas to life with his hands. Whether it was fixing, creating or improving something, Terry found joy in the process. An outdoorsman through and through, Terry cherished hunting and fishing trips and he rarely missed an opportunity to watch curling. He treasured time at the family’s log cabin at Austin Lake in Northern Ontario, where memories were made around the fire, on the water and in the quiet beauty of nature. Family meant everything to Terry. He looked forward each week to his steak lunches at Ralph’s with his brother Brice; a cherished tradition filled with laughter and stories. Terry and Tammy shared many adventures together, especially their road trips with Rosie to Great Falls. One of the highlights of every year was the New Year’s bash with Rosie; a celebration filled with joy, friendship and lasting memories. Terry loved gathering around the table, as food was one of his simple pleasures. He always enjoyed getting together at Kari and Braiden’s for delicious meals and meaningful time together. Those moments of connection meant the world to him. Never far from his side was his faithful companion, Buddy, who brought him constant comfort and companionship. Above all, Terry’s greatest joy was the time spent with those he loved. His huge heart, steady faith, playful humour and unwavering devotion to family, his pet children and friends will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Along with his beloved wife, Tammy, left to cherish Terry’s memory are his brother, Brice; nephew, Richard; the apple of his eye, niece, Rosie, aka ‘Izzy’ and his stepmom, Marlene, who was also one of his favourite cooks. He was predeceased by his parents, Reginald and Hildred and his brother, Scott. A private time of remembrance was held. Terry’s life will be silently honoured without the proceedings of a formal service.
