Terry Butterwick
1948 – 2024
Terrence ‘Terry’ George Butterwick passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family, at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at the age of 76 years. Terry was born in Lethbridge, AB and lived his entire life in southern Alberta, spending most of his free time in the great outdoors. He was happy with a hunting gun, a fishing rod, or a golf club in his hands, or even out riding his electric bike when health challenges limited his mobility. However, Terry enjoyed himself the most when he was with others. He valued his family and friends more than any material possession, growing his circle of friends considerably prior to retirement through his passion for woodcarving. Left to remember Terry are his partner, Karen Hollingsworth-Trehub and her family; daughter, Julia (Darcy) Reding and their children, Kaiden and Kevin; son, Troy (Trisha Divall) and their children, Brooklyn, Mackenzie, and Abby; his former wife and mother of his children, Donna Butterwick; brothers, Dale (Micheline), Ross (Donna Lee) and Warren (Carrie) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. A Celebration of Terry’s life will be held at the Foremost Community Hall, 802 – 1 Avenue West, Foremost, Alberta on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Foremost Cemetery. The service will be live-streamed. Those who cannot attend but wish to experience the celebration may visit the Cook Southland website and select the View Broadcast button on the homepage at service time.
