Ted Clugston was born and raised in Medicine Hat and is the proud father of two sons.

He has served the city for 14 years which includes two terms on council and two terms as Mayor.

Clugston says his vision for the next four years is building a sustainable and dynamic community.

Accelerating the Financially Fit Initiative and investing in Parks and Recreation are the two main components of his platform.

Clugston wants a municipality that does not rely on funding from financial reserves, dividends from volatile commodity sales, or excessive property tax increases.

From a recreational stand point developing the waterfront district, improvements to Echo Dale Regional Park, investing in new sheets of ice and a new water park are his priorities.
