1945 ~ Stanley Schorr ~ 2021

Stanley Bob Schorr passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the age of 75 years, beloved husband of Mavis Schorr of Medicine Hat. He also leaves to cherish his memory three children, Dana (Bruce) Timko of Surrey, B.C. and their children, Mackenzie Timko (Austin Jonker) and Ethan Timko; Lori Schall of Medicine Hat and her children, Erich Schall, Alyssa Schall (Zach Bourne) and Gavin Schall and their father, Scott Schall; Lisa (Shane) Zeidell of Medicine Hat and their children, Connor Zeidell and Keaton Zeidell; his brother, Brian (Kelly) Schorr and sister, Sharon (Clive) Keeler; two sisters-in-law, Marlene (Les) Ziegler and Brenda Osadchy as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Rachel Schorr; his brother-in-law, Vern Loney and sister-in-law, Arlene Schorr. Stan was raised and worked with his dad on the family farm near Elkwater. He met and married Mavis McKnight on June 17, 1967. They continued farming until 1975, when they moved to Medicine Hat. Stan worked for the City of Medicine Hat in many departments with Municipal Works being his longest term. He retired from the city in 2007. Stan enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids and giving them advice whether they wanted it or not. He also enjoyed having coffee with his pals, camping, fishing, bowling, curling and golfing occasionally, but most of all he loved to chat with anyone on the phone. There will be a private family service held at a later date. Those who wish to remember Stanley with a donation, may do so to a local animal shelter of your choice.
