Ruth “Bunny” Ulmer
May 21, 1925 ~ June 30, 2018
Ruth “Bunny” Louise Ulmer, beloved wife of the late Walter Ulmer, passed away in Lethbridge on Monday, July 30, 2018, at the age of 93 years, following a prolonged battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born in Medicine Hat, the oldest daughter of Justina and Benvenuto Bonin. Bunny and Walt lived there before moving to Bow Island, then Lethbridge and finally Calgary before returning to Lethbridge in 2003. We are comforted knowing that she is now once again with her “Honey”. She is survived by her children, Wayne (Jo) of Lethbridge, Rod (Carol) of White Rock, Barry (Marsha) of Edmonton and Wendy (Dave) of Calgary. Bunny was a proud grandmother to Tracey (Oral), Tara (Wes), Briea (Jaime), Laurel (Trevor) all of Calgary. She was thrilled to be the great-grandmother of Charlotte, Gray and Trystan. Bunny is also survived by her sisters, Rose of Lethbridge and Norma of Calgary and her brothers, Norman and Ernie of Medicine Hat, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Graveside Memorial service will be celebrated at Hillside Cemetery, Medicine Hat, AB., on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. with Life Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to gather at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, AB., no later than 1:15 p.m. to join in the procession to Hillside Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial triubtes in Bunny’s name may be made directly to a charity of ones own choice.
