Upon retiring in 1997, Roger joined the Senior Slowpitch organization and spent 25 years playing a game he loved. He was an avid sports fan, participating and enjoying any and all sports. You could find him at the hockey arena or behind the backstop cheering on his grandkids as he truly was one of their biggest fans. As a loyal Edmonton Oilers and LA Dodger’s fan, he and his family spent time cheering on his teams. His passion for Senior Slowpitch filled his summers. Over many years he and Phyllis developed numerous great friendships. The ball community brought much joy and happiness to his life.
