Rob was born on February 8, 1967 in Porcupine Plain, Saskatchewan where he grew up on the family farm with his five siblings. He was an outdoorsman at heart and would go back to the farm any chance he got. He graduated high school in 1985 and moved to Medicine Hat to start his career. This is also where he met his love, Michele, and they married in 1993 then started their life together and were blessed with two children.
Rob was a well-respected heavy equipment operator, pipeline superintendent and pipeline inspector for the past 38 years. His work took him all around the western provinces throughout his career, where he made many long-lasting friendships over the years. In his free time Rob could be found in the garage fixing and tinkering, working on vehicles, hunting, hiking in the mountains, fishing, or going to auctions.
