Robert Dumanowski

Robert Dumanowski has lived most of his in Medicine Hat where he and his wife Pamela have raised four children. Dumanowski has worked in education for more than 25 years and is currently principal at a school in the Medicine Hat Catholic system.

A council member since 2001, Dumanowski has been chair/vice-chair of every standing committee over the years. He feels he still has plenty to offer to the city.

He says he will strongly promote an economic climate that supports good jobs and a municipal government that supports and champions the business community, and promotes new economic development. He also supports keeping the utilities publicly owned with fair taxes and utility rates, and maintaining strong fire and police services to enhance the protection of our citizens.

Fiscal restraint and accountability and an open and transparent city council.

He says he’ll push for an inclusive community that is accessible and free of unnecessary barriers, the enhancement of senior and youth programs, services, and recreational facilities, and a community that offers a quality of life second to none.
