
Rena Watts
1937 ~ 2026
Mrs. Rena Mary Watts (nee Jinks), beloved wife of the late Douglas Watts, passed away peacefully at South Country Village in Medicine Hat on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at the age of 89 years. She is survived by her daughter, Glenda (Mike); sons, Frank (Brenda) and Mark (Sheila); 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Nonie as well as numerous cousins in Taber and Brooks. Along with her husband, Doug, Rena was predeceased by her son, Allen; parents, Frank and Mary as well as her brother, Brian. Rena was born in Lethbridge on June 21, 1937, and was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, with over 70 years of service and was also a member of the Red Hat Society. She and Doug shared a love of motorcycles and were involved with the Medicine Hat Motorcycle Club and were members of H.O.G. Rena also enjoyed running her hair salon business at Riverview Nursing Home where she enjoyed caring for the people around her. Some of Rena’s favourite memories were made along the BC Coast where her family enjoyed many years of salmon fishing. Rena will be deeply missed by her family and friends and all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. A private graveside service has taken place at Hillside Cemetery.
