Raymond served his community and his church in a variety of capacities, from school bus driver, RM of Deer Forks Councillor, Reeve, and School Board Trustee, to church board and choir member, adding his voice to the bass section. Raymond loved sports and often could be found on the softball field playing first base or on the hockey or curling ice. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to neighbours or friends in need.
