Randy Rose
1956 ~ 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Randy Rose, who left us on Thursday, March 20, 2025, in Medicine Hat, Alberta at the age of 68 years. Born on May 3, 1956, in Bonnyville, Alberta, and raised in the scenic community of Valemont, BC, Randy lived a life rich with both hard work and heartfelt joy. After a fulfilling career as an oil-field truck driver, Randy embraced retirement with the same energy and enthusiasm that characterized every aspect of life. Known for being accident prone, he experienced life’s unexpected twists—famously losing fingers in an accident—yet always maintained a resilient spirit and humorous outlook. His love for teasing and joking made him the life of every party, and his caring, trusting nature endeared him to all who knew him. Married to Bev since May 19, 1984, in Kin Coulee Park, they shared a lifetime of love and partnership. Together, they blended their families which was centered around shared values and traditions. Randy especially cherished the excitement of May long weekends, eagerly anticipating family reunions, backyard gatherings, and bonfires that brought loved ones together. In his leisure time, Randy was a man of many passions… he found solace and satisfaction in restoring furniture, brewing his own wine, and spending time on the computer. Whether he was visiting buddies, puttering in the yard, playing crib, or simply vibing to music, his hobbies reflected a zest for life and a commitment to making everyday moments memorable. Randy’s legacy is one of resilience, humor, and a heart with a large capacity for care. He leaves behind a family and a community enriched by his presence and touched by his laughter. Though he is deeply missed, his spirit lives on in every shared memory and every smile sparked by his unique way of finding joy in life’s simple pleasures. Randy will be remembered by his wife, Bev; children, Derek Mulder (Brandi), Jason Mulder, Jerico Rose and Rikki-Lee Rose (Chris); grandchildren, Reece Mulder, Jordon Mulder, Cara Mulder and Treydon Mulder; siblings, Jim Rose (Cathy), Grace Craig, Susan Volk and Harvey Rose (Faye); sister-in-law, Pamela Heller as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Celina Rose; brothers, John, Wayne, Roy and Earl Rose; sister, Brenda Rose; brother-in-law, Gerald Craig; sister-in-law, Elaine Rose; a niece, Darla Craig and a nephew, Richard Volk.
