Rachel ‘Ellen’ Madore
1952 ~ 2023
It is with a heavy heart that Bryden announces the passing of his loving wife, Rachel Ellen Madore. She passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Monday, July 17, 2023, at the age of 70 years. Along with Bryden, left to honour her memory is her daughter, Sydney Madore (Jason Closs; son, Cody Madore; nieces and nephews, Paula Armstrong, Rick (Heather) Armstrong and their children, Kian, Reid and Seth; Janine (Mitch) Osgood and their children, Chase and Lauren Melvin as well as her two furbabies, Harley and Chocolate. She was predeceased by her brother, Bill Armstrong. Rachel was born in Stettler on August 15, 1952, to Wendy and Ruby Armstrong. Bryden and Rachel were married on August 22, 1981, in Stettler. Rachel took great pride in her career working as a telephone operator for AGT/Telus for many years. She could often be found in the kitchen baking and cooking as she always wanted everyone fed before they left the house. Other hobbies of Rachel’s included camping, fishing, watching curling and the kids play hockey as being one of Cody’s biggest fans in the stands when he played football. Rachel’s dry sense of humour and her ability to care for her family and friends are traits of hers that will be forever missed! Dignified cremation has taken place. Rachel will be silently remembered by family and friends without the proceedings of a formal funeral service.
