Pauline Laura Krause passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018, at the age of 91 years, beloved wife of David Krause of Medicine Hat. She leaves to cherish her memory three children, Lorne (Nina) Krause, Darlene (Steve) Patyna, Dale Krause all of Medicine Hat; three grandchildren, Josh Krause, Joel Krause and Michelle Krause; three sisters-in law, Frieda Phillips, Esther Krause, and Ruth Artindale, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Laura Phillips; and one brother, Joseph. Pauline L. (Phillips) Krause was born on July 16, 1926 in Spruce Lake, Saskatchewan to Rev. Joseph and Laura Phillips. She moved as a young child with her parents to North Battleford where her father was Pastor and then to Eston, Saskatchewan where her education was completed. At the age of seven years she began her music ministry as pianist for her first wedding. Pauline met her future husband Dave while both were involved in a Christian radio program airing seven days a week called “Radio Church” on CHAT radio here in Medicine Hat. For years she also played for “Youth for Christ” led by Al Mast (a policeman) during their monthly meetings. Through all their married years Pauline was part of a team, there were many years in the Casa Linda Motel. Through the 80’s she owned Children’s Fashions clothing store. Classic Keyboards a Baldwin franchise provided Pauline an opportunity to demonstrate her gifts of playing for many years. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Sunday, from 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the First Assembly of God Church (395 9th Street SE) on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastors Lyle Berg and Rev. Ken Roset officiating. A private family interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery.
