1927 ~ Odelia Ell ~ 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of Odelia Mathilda Ell announces her passing on Sunday, September 13, 2020, at the age of 93 years.

Odelia will be lovingly remembered by her children Robert (Marnie), Barry, and Lyndon (Bruna); her grandchildren Amber, Sigmund, Robyn, Carlie, Trevor, Melanie, Jodie, Cara, and Lee; her great grandchildren Justin, Stirling, Zenon, Dyllan, Hannah, Elliot, and Oscar.

Born in Russia, she immigrated to Canada with her parents and siblings, and settled in the Foremost area of southern Alberta. She lived in Calgary for the latter 56 years.

Odelia is survived by her siblings Betty, Katherine, and Sigmund. She was preceded in death by her parents Sigesmund and Salamea Brittner; her siblings Peter, Veronica, Ralph, and Tony; her husbands, Raymond Moser (father of Robert and Barry), William Swab (father of Lyndon), and Daniel Ell.

A funeral service in memory of Odelia will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to attend the funeral service . Due to restrictions in place regarding COVID- 19 from the Chief Medical Officer of Health – funeral services are now limited to no more than 100 attendees including family and funeral home staff.
