All eyes were focused on the skies above Medicine Hat in the early morning hours of October 11, 2024, when the northern lights, in spectacular fashion, lit up the night sky. The gates of heaven opened wide, as God welcomed our dear mother, grandmother and great grandmother home.
Rosemary Medlicott, beloved wife of the late Norman Medlicott, passed away peacefully at 97 years of age. She is lovingly remembered by her three children, Joan (William) Anhorn and family, of Medicine Hat, Tom (Gene) Medlicott and family and Charlene (Bruce) Kolesnik and family, both of Calgary. We were all thankful this Thanksgiving, that Mom was finally at peace and once again reunited with our Dad.
Rosemary grew up with a passion for life, family and community. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, who always put others before herself.
Mom’s kindness, strength and sense of humor touched the lives of everyone who was fortunate enough to have known her. Her smile lit up the room and her laughter was infectious.
In keeping with her community spirit, Mom was a dedicated member of Westminster United Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, and she and Dad made lifelong friends through the Medicine Hat Square Dancing community.
Mom and Dad enjoyed their travels to Europe and Hawaii, but her main focus was always on her family.
We will keep you in our hearts forever Mom. We love you! Rest in Peace.
A private family graveside memorial service will be held in her honor. To leave a message of condolence you may visit www.pattisonfuneralhome.com.
